You saw the video of coming off the plane, getting applause at the airport, that kind of thing.

What's it been like just coming back in Pittsburgh now as a Steelers quarterback and not just the pit quarterback?

But have you gotten in different receptions in the short time you did back here?

Yeah, I mean, it's special.

It's really special.

I have, you know, a lot of friendships. I know a lot of people here, obviously, like you said, from, you know, playing at Pitt and being here for five years. So the fact that I'm starting my pro career here is, you know, really special. And I'm looking forward to, you know, building new relationships with everybody in the city.

Kenny Pickett, new quarterback in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Great story in football morning in America how he envisioned for five years.

As he walked into the pit door at the UPMC, Rooney Sports Complex. He saw the Steeler door, five years envisioned

that he'd be heading 12 feet, literally 12 feet to the left. And now he is. It's just great how

it works out. And it's because it's not easy to make it work out that way because it's a draft.

And if anybody else picking the 19 spots in front of the Steelers would have wanted Kenny Pickett

or if someone would have jumped in front of the Steelers and it's not like it was a secret.

It's not like it was a surprise.

I kind of respect the fact that the Steelers don't –

They're really high behind it. I know. They don't know. They don't care. Yeah. They just don't care. Like, we're not going to

try to play these games because if somebody else takes him, we'll take somebody else. Yeah.

You know, we'll just take somebody else. Yeah. They got to believe their team and their culture

that it just, it'll work either way. Right.

Let's hear a little bit from Kevin Colbert about what drew them to Kenny Pickett because he said

some more things. I don't know if it's going to be part of it or not. So I'll hold that until we hear

directly from Colbert on specifically why they decided Pickett was their guy.
