You make a shift from the person who needs advice and the person that other people seek out to go, oh, here, dear, here's what you should be doing. Well, that's a great question. And I'm going to say that it was probably October. Nope. I'm going to say it was March of

2007. Wow. What happened then? Tony Snow was the press secretary and I was his deputy and he was

unwell. He was getting cancer treatments and I had to take over for him for three weeks

while he had surgery and had some recovery. And I had been so happy being behind the scenes. I wouldn't

say I was a mouse, but I was definitely not wanting to be in front of the camera. I did not want

anybody to notice me. I loved working on the policy stuff.
