Hope you're all doing well today. I will confess I did not intend to do a series of

podcasts on the Inflation Reduction Act, but that is exactly how things have worked out.

Two weeks ago, Sarah Baldwin from Energy Innovation offered us a primer on the Inflation

Reduction Act's impact on electric vehicles.

Last week, Elvin Carey from Circular was here, talking about how the IRA mandates supply chain

accountability in a way that the auto industry has never needed before.

And today is the third installment of this impromptu spotlight on the IRA. My guest is Keith

Phillips, the CEO of Piedmont Lithium.

He's going to discuss how the IRA accelerates the creation of a domestic supply chain for key battery

minerals like nickel and as you might expect lithium.

He's also got some really eye-opening projections

that anyone in the EV space will want to hear,

namely that there's not going to be enough raw materials

to keep all these new battery factories busy for quite a while
