After 20 plus years of experience in canine handling and search and rescue work,

tonight's guests decided to start his own search and rescue business.

After retiring, Carl Allen of Black River Search and Rescue started a 501c3

charitable organization that's dedicated to search and rescuing our pets.

Yes, that's right. We hear a lot about humans getting lost or distress while they're

out hiking or backpacking, but their stories are people losing their dogs or

other pets. And if you know anybody who's a dog owner, you know that there's a

very, there's a closeness and a love for these pets. And we don't really give a

lot of thought to, well, they can get lost in what we do when it happens.
