| 0:00.0 | And entitled Karen loses her mind after she doesn't get exactly what she wants out of me and my coworkers. |
| 0:05.8 | But after watching her swear at me and flip me the bird over and over again, I ended up getting the last laugh as I secretly recorded her tirade on my phone and submitted it to my store manager in hopes that she would get banned once and for all. |
| 0:17.7 | Here's what happened. |
| 0:18.6 | So at my retail job, I was doing some stocking, but then I got called up to the register to help the cashier with a long line. It was then that I heard this entitled customer, who is the Karen of this story, being rude to my cashier. This entitled Karen was screaming, telling her to double back her bags. Then she asked the cashier if she could get someone to carry all of her bags to her car. My cashier then asked me if I could do it, and I just straight up said no. This Karen then rudely asked me why, and I explained to her that it wasn't part of my job, and our store does not offer that service. Well, when I said that, she demanded to speak to a manager, and I told her that our store manager was not in at the moment, and that I'm the assistant manager and the manager on duty at the moment. She then told me, oh, so you're not going to do your job today? But I explained again that it wasn't part of my job because we do not have that kind of service at our store. She then demanded our store manager's name, address, and phone number. But I just straight up told her, no, I'm not going to |
| 1:10.9 | give out personal information. She then claimed that she didn't say that and told me that she wanted |
| 1:15.4 | the name, phone number, and address of our store. Well, I just straight up refused to give it to |
| 1:19.6 | her, because at this point, she started calling me awful swears. She demanded that I get a piece of paper |
| 1:24.4 | and a pen and write down her name and phone number and give it to my store manager. |
| 1:28.8 | Well, instead of doing that, I gave her the pen and paper to write down all this stuff, but she literally shoved it towards me and said it was my job to write it down, not hers. |
| 1:37.6 | Now, I wanted to cancel her total, but my cashier said no. She wanted her to finish her purchase and get out. |
| 1:43.1 | This entitled Karen then said that I |
| 1:44.8 | shouldn't cancel her total because I would never get a customer spending as much money as she is. |
| 1:49.6 | She then started cussing me out and told me to get out of her face even though I was eight feet |
| 1:53.9 | away from her all while she was giving me the middle finger. She then went on to tell me how I would |
| 1:58.3 | never amount to anything in life. And I would always be an assistant manager and never a real manager. |
| 2:03.6 | Her purchase was complete, and she tried to convince customers to report me to corporate, but the surrounding customers said that she was the one who acted out of line. |
| 2:10.9 | When customers confronted her, she denied cussing me out and told them that she never did that, even though I recorded some of the incident on my phone. |
| 2:17.8 | Her excuse for her behavior was that her husband was in cardiac arrest and she was having |
| 2:21.8 | a bad day. She tried to pull a Carol Bryant on me and was yelling for the police claiming that |
| 2:26.4 | I was bothering her when she realized I was recording her. I then sent the store manager the video |
| 2:31.0 | and I got a picture of her car and her plate numbers. Some of the customers also gave me their information so that the store manager could call them and they could tell her exactly what they witnessed. Because honestly, this is someone I hope I never have to deal with ever again. Holy crap, this lady's completely out of her mind. There are so many things about this story that are so enraging. First of all, this Karen's attitude is |
| 2:50.9 | completely out of left field. In today's day and age, with technology and like video recording and all this other stuff, you would think that people would be on their best behavior. Like, I can understand you snapping at someone if they actually did something wrong, but it sounds like the cashier and the original poster didn't do anything wrong. They were literally just trying to do their job and get stuff done. But here comes this Karen being like, you need to double bag my groceries. By the way, you're going to carry my stuff to my car. Thank you very much. And then when she doesn't get her way, she starts swearing at people and flicking them off. Like, come on, what is going on right now. That is not going to make you get your way. If anything, it's going to make you get banned from the store. And while we're on that, I cannot believe that the lower cashier did not cancel the order. The second you said, hey, we're canceling that order. As the manager on duty, that cashier should have been like, okay, you got it. And then just went ahead and canceled it and said, okay, have a good day. No customer acting like that and I seriously don't care who you are, should ever be rewarded with a |
