Twelve years ago, my partner and I were traveling from San Jose to LA for spring break.

My partner is driving.

Anyone who's driven down the I-5 nose, there's not much to see, even less at night.

Well, on this night, there was more to see than I wanted.

At the point in the trip when it seems like you're in the middle of nowhere,

a craft appeared above us.

I was the first to see it. It didn't seem much bigger than our car.

In fact, it looked too small to fit a human inside it, standing up. The crazy part,

it didn't affect much around it. It made no noise, no vibrations, had no exhaust. It even seemed to not affect the matter around it. It hovered smoothly above our car, then to the car ahead of us.

We were the only two cars on the highway at this time. I pointed to the craft in shock.

That's when my partner finally saw it. We weren't even sure if the car ahead of us saw it.

We didn't honk for fear of their reaction and potential danger from the strange craft.

The lights emitted from the craft were hot pink purple white.

The lights didn't just glow.

It was like they were alive. The lights surrounded the craft with a large

spherical glow in the center. I didn't blink as I stared at it. I was afraid it would

disappear. I watched it travel back and forth between our cars. It did this

twice. Then it disappeared into thin air. No trail, no dust, no fumes, nothing.

It either camouflaged itself or traveled so fast that my eyes couldn't see it leave.

My partner and I laughed. Then we got really
