Summary

In this weeks episode I talk about the importance staying in the present and focusing on taking the next step.  You can't lose 100 lbs all at once.  Just lose 1 lbs.  Then lose another, and then another.

So if you want to follow along on the Tough Mudder and see what's happening, you can do that. I will be running it Saturday morning. So I'm flying out tonight. I record, tonight being Thursday when I record this. So this will be up when it's up. You'll find out. I have no idea when it's going up sometime tomorrow. But I want to actually use that as an example to talk about this week's topic, and that is

1:28.3

progress and just starting. So let's take this podcast. I record it once a week, and I told

1:34.4

myself I'm going to post it every Friday. My personal goal is Friday morning at 8 a.m. I can't always

1:40.1

make that. I am a one-man band. So sometimes, you know, other business things come up that

1:44.7

keep me from getting it out on time. But I get it out on Fridays because that's what I told myself. I post on Fridays. Well, this week, I'm traveling. I'm out of town. I'm like, oh, gosh. And so all of my coaching calls get compressed into less days of the week. So that keeps me abnormally busy. And then I've got a pack and then I've got to get my own training in because, you know, I'm running a race.

2:00.9

I can't miss my training.

2:02.4

Got to show up peak I've got to get my own training in because you know I'm running a race I can't miss my training got to show a peak state ready to go and I have this little gap and I'm like gosh I don't know when I'm going to edit this I don't know when I'm going to upload it I just know unless I record it none of that other stuff even matters so unless I just start like when I'm going upload it, when am I going to edit this podcast, is irrelevant.

2:19.2

And if you're listening to this, I clearly figured out a way to make it happen, even though me recording it right now has no clue how when I'm going to do it.

2:27.4

I have some ideas, but I don't really know because I am booked solid the rest of the day.
