The goal today is very simple. Don't trip and fall. Welcome to walking as fitness. This is a podcast of

Hi, I'm Dave. I started walking for fitness in 2013, still take an intentional fitness walk every single day.

Today I've got a couple of emails, some comments and some thank yous, and these are all on my phone and I am walking in this

wooded area that I enjoy it is pre-sunrise so it's there's a little early

daylight but it's more dark than than light and there are exposed roots and

stumps and twigs and branches on this wooded trail

and I'm going to be looking at my phone reading from my phone as I walk so the goal is simply

to not trip and fall as I'm doing the episode because should that happen this might be

the last episode in a while.

Elise sent an email earlier this week, congratulating Ava and I on 40 years.

We met 40 years ago last Saturday.

Elise and her husband Pat celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in December.

And then she mentions that she and her husband got

COVID after Christmas and how COVID has disrupted her walking routine, understandably,

and asked if I had had COVID. The short answer to have I had COVID, I don't think so. I've not

tested positive. Ava had COVID last spring. And like two days after

she got it, I started feeling funny and I thought, okay, here we go. And a few hours later,

I was feeling fine. I have no idea what that's about, but otherwise, no COVID that I'm aware of.

I have since I began recording this podcast as a daily podcast, have had two colds.
