We saw this opportunity that, because we fundamentally believe that technology is going to change every single industry.

I remember when I was first starting out and people were like, oh, what type of job are you going to get after school?

What type of companies are you going to be involved in? And people are like, oh, you're going to be you going to get after school? What type of companies are you going to be involved in?

And people are like, oh, you're going to be involved in computer stuff, right?

Or internet stuff.

And like, yes, but everything is going to be computer and internet stuff.

And now today it's even more clear that technology and sensors and machine intelligence

is going to be a part of every single industry.

And so we looked at the kitchen space and we didn't see any companies that we looked up to

that were based on technology. And a company that, two companies that Nikol and I are both

big fans of are Apple and Tesla.

And something that Tesla has done a really good job of attaching to their brand

is that the car is always getting better.

And for us, we saw this massive opportunity to make appliances

and starting first with the June oven where it's always getting better.

And so tying our brand to being able to tell this story that we lead with a great user experience and great technology to give you a great experience of cooking that's all about yielding great food.
