Gray areas, non-essential doctrines, and lifestyle choices often stir up debate within the church today – sometimes leading to unnecessary conflict and division. In Romans 14, Paul gives us guidance for navigating these issues in accordance with the law, our liberty in Christ, and love for our Christian brothers and sisters.

One of the things we've been talking about the past couple weeks now in Romans is the shift from what does it mean to be saved or how are you saved?

0:10.3

And Paul has now, for the past couple chapters, been talking about now that we're saved, what do you do?

0:16.7

What is a Christian supposed to act like?

0:19.4

And that's been really practical, very practical stuff.

0:22.4

And chapter 14 is extremely practical, but it might be hard for some of you. In fact,

0:28.6

it's one of the perhaps least appreciated or practiced chapters maybe in the New Testament church.

1:29.5

1:38.1

the Sabbath was part of the mosaic law to keep the Sabbath, remember the Sabbath, keep it holy.

1:46.6

It's also part of the law of God,

1:52.8

which is the Ten Commandments. If you kind of see the difference, the law of Moses was the 613 laws the Jews had to keep. But then you have the Ten Commandments, which remembering the Sabbath Day

1:57.0

to keep it holy or set apart from other days.

2:02.3

That's the idea there.

2:08.3
