sink with God will exude these win some traits. All nine will flow freely from

In this study we'll identify the second virtue in Paul's list and our primary text is another book that Paul wrote is letter to the Philippians.

Every once in a while we long for a specific

once in a while we long for a specific detailed statement regarding the things the Lord is really

pleased with. It's easy to operate in what one of my props used to call the

slimy ooze of indefiniteness. When it comes to the scriptures there's none of that. For example

when we seek to know exactly what it is the Lord desires to produce in us, he makes it clear.

It is love. it is joy it is peace and patience it is kindness and goodness faith

faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. That list is found in the

22nd and 23rd verses of Galatians chapter 5. That cluster of virtues is called

the fruit of the spirit.

Interestingly, fruit is not plural.

It's a cluster.

All nine of them form those things that the spirit of God desires to produce

within us whenever those things emerge and are on display, God is pleased. There's
