When you're relationships have joy,

when you truly have harmony,

you don't let things build up.

It's too important that you get long well with each other. Life's too lonely to fight it alone.

We need each other. Do you ever wonder where all the fun went? Life is serious no doubt, but sometimes it seems like we're living in a world that's forever frowning and complaining.

Today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall reminds us that a joyless world is not the one God intended,

especially for his children.

Our primary text today is Philippians, which was written while Paul was under house arrest.

As we examine Paul's outlook, we'll rediscover what's often missing in a world that's desperate

for a good laugh. Chuck titled today's message, Joy Joy Joy.

And we begin with prayer.

Give us the ability, our father, to perceive joy in the midst of what is a difficult situation, whatever that difficulty may be.

Deliver us from negative attitudes, from griping and complaining and

finding fault with others or with our situation rather than looking for

reasons to find joy in the midst of them.

Provide for us Lord a resilience that is able to endure hardship and

as we go through it to come out on the other side with a deeper sense of what is

joyful in your eyes.

Give us joy in relationships, joy in responsibilities, joy in opportunities that are made known to us and we're involved in them.
