You know, a lot of people listening don't know where to start in their

community I'm always challenging people what do you need so I'm imagining there was a need

that you joy said hey we need this and then you built it you created it walk us through that

thank you so much for the opportunity I would love to take the credit, but I'm going to do

some history. 42 years ago, Billy Avery had the vision for this organization on the campus of

Spelman College in Atlanta. She pulled together women to have a conversation about black women's

health. And the conversation was different because it was about centering, trusting, and empowering black women to talk about

and do something about their own health care instead of being just the subject for someone else
