Welcome to the Black Girl Burnout Podcast. Kelly here. And we are closing out the week in our brand new segment. We need to talk about it.

I dove right in and said we need to talk about it, pay disparity. And we went into the week really asking the question about how can we expand the conversation around

black women not getting paid their worth to go beyond just awareness and advocacy on a

systems level, you know, pay equity laws and policies, that we need to focus on what we can do

right now.

And so in the middle of the week, I talked a lot about team building and networking,

how those are two skills that directly impact your bank account.

We just scratched the surface of that conversation.

And so I want to remind you that in April,

I am planning a whole month dedicated to financial literacy and a fun and engaging way,

I promise. We're going to do savings challenges. We're going to talk about credit. I'm going to

have the best of the best experts on to help you guide you out of struggle with your

money. I want you to opt out of struggle. And one of the ways that we stay in struggle is absolutely

our finances. Also, last episode, I forgot to mention some of the resources that I have been

using to help me get my money right.

I told you, 2024 is going to be a year of celebration for me. It's me embracing my visibility,

and it's me embracing my age and showing up and showing out to the world. Well, part of celebration to me means that I

need to have financial liberation. And so I am on a journey to further liberate myself financially,

both in mindset and in my bank account, making sure that all things are running smoothly and
