| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Pauli. |
| 0:13.0 | Today we are on a journey through Scripture. |
| 0:16.0 | We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God. |
| 0:36.1 | A Christian lady was once asked if she had ever read the Bible all the way through. |
| 0:41.3 | Her response was brutally honest, and frankly, if most of us were honest, we'd have to say the same thing. |
| 0:47.4 | She responded that she had started three times, that she'd enjoyed Genesis very much and even Exodus, |
| 0:55.8 | but she had gotten bogged down in what she called the dull reading of Leviticus. I hope you don't feel that way, but the truth of |
| 1:02.1 | the matter is, all of us at some point have gotten bogged down. May I tell you that the Word of God |
| 1:08.0 | is never dull? We are dull. The word of God is never boring. |
| 1:12.1 | We may get dry, but it is perennally fresh. And the book of Leviticus is a book that must be |
| 1:16.9 | studied and read and profited from. And so today we take a short journey through the book of |
| 1:24.6 | Leviticus. Now, Leviticus picks up exactly where Exodus left off. As a matter of fact, |
| 1:29.8 | in Leviticus 1 verse 1, the Bible says, and the Lord God called unto Moses and spake in him out of the |
| 1:36.2 | tabernacle of the congregation saying, you'll remember that when Exodus ended in Exodus chapter 40, |
| 1:42.8 | they had just finished to the tabernacle. So |
| 1:45.6 | Leviticus picks up exactly where Exodus left off. God is speaking out of the new tabernacle. |
| 1:52.9 | Now where Genesis covered thousands of years and Exodus covers a great deal of time, |
| 1:58.6 | hundreds of years, the book of Leviticus is interesting because it covers |
| 2:02.8 | one month. That's right, an entire book given to one month. It must have been a pretty big month, |
| 2:07.4 | don't you think? There's no geographical movement. They're encamped at Mount Sinai, and God is speaking. |
| 2:13.9 | And, oh, my friend, his message is an important message. |
| 2:24.6 | As a matter of fact, the book of Leviticus is to Exodus what the rest of the New Testament is to the gospel records. |
