Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Pauli.

0:13.0

Today we are on a journey through Scripture.

0:16.0

We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.

0:37.2

Redeemed how I love to proclaim it, redeemed by the blood of the lamb,

0:42.1

redeemed through his infinite mercy, his child and forever I am.

0:47.9

Those were the words that Fannie Crosby wrote long ago.

0:50.7

Where do you find that truth of redemption? Well, that scarlet

1:41.4

verses of Exodus chapter 1 are really a summary of the last five chapters

1:46.1

of the book of Genesis. So there's a natural progression here. The book of Genesis ends with the

1:52.2

death of Joseph. And the book of Exodus begins with the birth of Moses. And when you see the children

1:57.8

of Israel in Genesis chapter 50, they're living in bounty in Egypt.

2:02.5

But when the curtain lifts in Exodus chapter 1, they're living in bondage.

2:06.5

You see, about 300 years lapses between Genesis and Exodus.
