Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Pauli.

0:13.0

Today we are on a journey through Scripture.

0:16.0

We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.

0:36.9

Have you watched the news lately? I must tell you that sometimes when I watch the news, I get a little

0:42.9

discouraged. It's bad news after bad news, after bad news. One of the great dangers of watching

0:50.6

too much news, frankly, is that we get our eyes on the national scene.

0:56.0

Someone says, well, shouldn't we look at the national scene? Of course we should.

1:43.4

these things are given for our examples, the scripture says.

1:47.7

In other words, God shows us these nations and their disruption and their disobedience

1:54.3

so that we will learn from it.

1:56.3

It's easy to spot another man's sin, but sometimes it's hard to spot our own. Oh, my friend, it's time

2:03.6

that all of us take a long, hard look at our own lives. It's easy for me to get angry and anxious

2:10.4

about the wickedness and darkness all around me. But what about the darkness creeping into my own

2:15.9

soul? Well, that's the message God has for us in the book of Second Kings.
