0:16.0	We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.
0:36.2	All right, I want you to be honest now.
0:38.5	Have you ever decided you were going to read through the entire Bible, and you started
0:42.6	in Genesis and you did very well, and Exodus you pressed through, Leviticus was tough,
0:47.5	numbers, Deuteronomy, you kept moving.
0:49.7	You got to the historical books, and then you arrived at First Chronicles.
0:54.1	First Chronicles for us, perhaps the Lord. to the historical books and then you arrived at first chronicles first chronicles
0:55.3	chronicles for us perhaps the longest span of any book of the Bible for example the
1:02.7	first word of chronicles is Adam it goes all the way back to the very beginning
1:07.9	and it covers 3,600 years.
1:11.6	Think of that.
1:12.6	Did you know that there are 1,500 names in the first nine chapters of First Chronicles?
1:17.6	And sometimes people get bogged down in them and they think,
1:20.6	why all these names and why all these genealogies?
1:23.6	You remember in the New Testament we're cautioned, we're warned not to give heed to fables and
1:29.5	endless genealogies. But you see the genealogies Paul warns about the New Testament are
1:35.4	people's family lines, thinking that there's something special because of who their parentage
1:41.0	happened to be. But the genealogy found in Chronicles is not just any genealogy, my friend.
1:47.7	This is the family line of Jesus Christ.
1:50.8	Interestingly enough, in the Jewish Bible, the Hebrew Old Testament,
