what mattered, what doesn't matter, what the tea leaves might be telling us right now. So,

welcome back Josh Kraschauer, who is now a senior political reporter correspondent for Axios.

So congratulations on the new gig, Josh. Thanks, Charlie. And it's great to be back on the Bullwark

podcast the day after such a big election night. So, this is mean you're going to be speaking in

shorter sentences now that you're at Axios. It's just like really, you're going to be really short

and pithy and so I'm trying. I got the smart part of smart brevity down the brevity I'm learning

as I start and moving to the job. Well, you know, you and I were having this conversation right

before we started the podcast. I have to say that I am a big fan of the smart brevity approach

because I mean, it's not that there's not a value in long form analysis, but also the reality

is there's just so much out there and there is a real, I think there's a particular value

in people who just get right to the point and you know, what is the nub of it? You know, you know,

cut aside, you know, cut away all of the ephemera and the filler and everything and say,

what are the things that are the most important that you need to know? So, I really do appreciate

that style. So, and you know, it looks like you're adapting pretty well to a Josh. You're

clear thinker. As an analyst, it is important to not to beat around the bush, but just explain

what everything means and there's so much noise. You want to just get to that signal. So,

Axios, I mean, it's just done a great job at prioritizing the most important analysis, reporting,

you name it and all of its coverage. Okay, well, let's cut right to the chase on a variety of things.
