Today is primary election day in some states across the country, places like Michigan, Arizona,

and Missouri where voters are heading to the polls to decide which brand of crazy they

want to embrace, also Washington State.

Interestingly enough, in Missouri, the former president of the United States apparently

could not make up his mind and instead of endorsing one or other of the various deplorable

candidates running for US Senate, he decided just to endorse all of the Erics, even though

there are multiple Erics in the race, a reminder that Donald Trump is basically a troll who

is not going to be playing necessarily a constructive role.

I am old enough to remember when August was considered the dog days and the news cycle

would kind of take a breather, but I don't know that that's been true at least for the
