0:00.0 | Welcome to the Bulldog Podcast. I'm Charlie Sykes. It is Thursday and of course we are still |
0:12.8 | sorting through the fallout from Tuesday's elections and speculating about whether the |
0:19.4 | midterm environment might have changed. But one of the most interesting developments over |
0:25.2 | the last several weeks, at least interesting to me, has been the emergence of a third party or a |
0:31.2 | third movement, the forward party. And so joining me on the podcast today to talk about this, |
0:36.9 | Governor Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of the state of New Jersey and Andrew Yang, |
0:42.0 | former Democratic presidential candidate, they are the co-chairs of forward this new party. So first |
0:47.7 | of all, Governor Andrew, thank you so much for joining me today. My pleasure. And with |

1:39.5 | numbers in there, Charlie. So the fact is right now, the appetite for a third party has literally |
1:45.7 | never been higher. 50% of Americans self-identify as independence. 62% won a third party. |
1:53.0 | And I'm sure most of the listeners to the bulwark have been despairing about what the heck is |
1:57.0 | happened to common sense leadership, to legislators you can come across the island work together. |
2:03.6 | And I'm going to tell you all, it's getting worse, not better. You have to look in the mirror and |
2:08.0 | say, okay, we subscribe to the bulwark. We like Charlie. We like Reason. And you look up and you see |
