I'm Anna Eliopolis with your Fox True Crime Minute. A warning text sent to a New Jersey victim,

allegedly murdered by his older sibling.

Fox News Digital obtaining a probable cause statement in the case of Matthew Hurtgen,

who is accused of killing his brother Joseph with a knife and golf club.

According to the documents, Matthew was with his younger brother just hours before committing the crime last month

and told him that he was experiencing, quote, terrifying visions.

After parting ways, the youngest brother texted the victim to alert him that Matthew was

experiencing these hallucinations.

Roughly an hour later, Joseph was murdered, with Matthew reportedly lighting the crime scene on fire

before calling 911.

Cops finding Joseph's body with wounds on his head, torso and hands, including a missing

eye, and a dead cat partially burned.

Matthew Hurtkin is scheduled in court later this month.
