Hey John, welcome to the Mantox podcast. Thanks so much for joining us. Are you kidding? I'm super excited to be here and I can't wait to jump into this. Awesome. You know, we always like to ask

Oh, without a doubt. So this one's kind of embarrassing, and often people think I'm kidding

when I share it. But I grew up incredibly unpopular. I was in eighth grade, and I'll never forget this. My teacher

walks in one day and says, today we're throwing out the seating chart. And we're going to have

each student privately submit two people they don't want to sit down next to, and two people they do.

And I discovered two things. One, there was one student nobody wanted to sit

with, and the second is that that student was me. And I was totally devastated, right? Because if you're

in eighth grade, your entire world are your classmates and academics. And so I was, I just didn't even know what to do. And so I tried all these

different things to fit in, like watching the shows that the cool kids watched and talked to
