It is the last day of November, 2016.

Holy crap, it's almost December.

And when I think of December, I immediately get stressed out and start thinking about all the holiday shopping that I have to do.

You might be doing the same, but guess what?

I have an idea on how to choose the perfect gift.

This is something that I've been putting into practice for many, many years.

I thought this could be of value to our community. What is a

secret? What is the secret to choosing a perfect gift? Well, first of all, we scramble year after

year trying to choose the perfect gift for a friend or a relative or of course our partner. What do

they want? What do they need? What can we buy for them? We can literally spend hours and hours and hours in shops asking ourselves these questions. But are you ready for the secret? This is the single secret. All you have to do is change your perception of what gift giving is all about. See, the problem is that we think about giving gifts as the exchange of physical objects, but instead,

I want you to do this one thing. Think of a gift as communication. See, when you give a gift

to someone, what you're actually doing is speaking to them. You buy, make, or discover a gift

that says something to the receiver. It could be your wife. It could be your girlfriend,

could be your boyfriend, could be a business colleague or a friend or family member. So they receive the

gift and if they are perceptive, they understand your message. Of course, it seems so obvious.

You know, why did I think of this? But we forget it year after year when we choose our gifts.

I know I do it all the time. We focus first on the object or the need, and then we check what message

it conveys. So you may have realized gifts or communications all along when someone gives you a gift

and you're instantly aware of what it says. Some gifts communicate distance, others intimacy.
