The comedy world like any other is full of secret heroes.

People who aficionados know about and you, the regular person on the street, might not.

John Glaser is one of those people.

Like so many of our great comics, he came out of the second city in Chicago

and he went on to write for a series of cult programs.

Among them was the Dana Carvy show where he wrote alongside the creator of Triumph,

the insult dog, Robert Smigel, and Louis CK, the brilliant stand-up comedian

and Charlie Kaufman, the famous screenwriter.

It was an amazing show, but short-lived.

He wrote for Late Night with Conan O'Brien when it was at its most ridiculous

and contributed some of its most ridiculous moments.
