Hey my name is John Legend and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Thursday. I hope you have a lovely morning.

Today we're going to talk about making love a priority.

Like most of you, I'm a busy person and so is my wife, but over the years we've learned how to make sure we carve out time for one another.

Relationships take work but take it from me, a guy who writes love songs for a living.

It's important to make time for love.

The first time I met my wife is not a typical way to meet someone's spouse.

I was shooting a music video for a song called Stereo, which is on my second album once again.

And my good friend, Neville Alderkin, is a photographer and a director.

And he had worked with a young lady named Chrissy Teigen, who had modeled for Bill Abong and other clients that he had worked with.

And he thought she was really cool and that I would like her.

So he cast her in the video.

Chrissy and I had a lot of moments where we were very close to each other in the filming of the video.

And we developed a little chemistry, mutual crush, I would say, and started dating not long after that.

And the more we got to know each other, the more I realized I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.
