So Jesus said to Peter, put your sword into the sheath, shall I not drink the cup,

which my father has given me?

So he, he, here tells him to put the sword away.

We're going to come back to this later when Jesusesus is talking to uh pilot now here in this gospel we aren't told about him putting it that's

yeah so uh here the focus is not so much on this servant of the high priest but uh on Jesus making a point to Peter. And as I said,

we're going to come back to this idea in a little bit what exactly the point he's making is.

But you remember Peter's earlier, what began this whole discourse, right?

What began this whole discourse was what Judas left after Jesus

essentially identified him as the one who was going to portray him.

Peter made the comment that he wasn't going any place.

Oh, yeah.

Right? He would stay with Jesus, even if he had to die along with him right and Jesus said

oh really you know I told him you're gonna deny me right three times

did they were like Peter out to Peter out comes from the verb no that's something else

but yeah so so so that's that's something else but yeah so so so so that's that's where this whole

discourse began right was with Peter sort of standing up and saying oh no I'm gonna

right and so he still doesn't understand what's going on.

Right.

He thinks, you know, they're here to get Jesus.
