So he goes on, if you loveeston, West Virginia. So then he goes on,

if you love me, keep my commandments.

So this is part of what he was just saying.

Right?

This is how this is going to happen.

If you love me, keep my commandments.

So right here, St. John tells us,

and, you know, I know we're in the 500th anniversary

of the Reformation, but unfortunately, we have to tell Martin Luther,

it's impossible to separate loving Christ from obedience.

Right.

If you love Jesus, you keep His commandments.

That's how you show that you love Jesus.

So you can't love Jesus and sin.

And this is, and again, it's something St. John is going to come back to in his first epistle and really

emphasize that these things do not go together

right

and I will pray the Father and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever,

the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him,
