Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic

study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

If you knew you were about to die, what would be your final words to your loved ones? What would you really

want them to know? This is the situation that we find in our study in John chapter 15. Jesus

is about to go to the cross and die for us, but before He is crucified, he is spending

a final few hours with his disciples, and what he

has to say to them is significant for them and for us.

Let's now join Pastor John for our teaching and hear the Lord's instruction to us.

John 15, keep in mind that we are hours before the crucifixion of Christ.

Jesus had brought his disciples into an upper room where he instructed and inspired them, and at this point he has departed out of that upper room.

We saw last week how that the moon was full

because it was Passover. And consequently the moon would be shining as they would be traveling

out of the city of Jerusalem, headed towards that little valley, almost a goalie really, called the Kidron, and on the other side of the

kindron was the Mount of Olives, a hillside really, in which was located a garden called Gethsemini.
