When I lost my pro baseball career, I felt like I lost everything. My identity was completely tied up in my role as a pro athlete. And when it was over, I was so lost.

Perfectionism can push you to be great and do great things, but also can limit your freedom.

I think of myself as a recovering perfectionist. If you haven't dealt with pain from childhood,

then likely there's a mental block or something that's limiting your potential.

And so we're going to develop habits of thought and action every day, these routines around how you do want to feel.

And then how you don't want to feel, we're going to go back in your life and rewire painful memories. I think of the three big obstacles to performance. And those three big obstacles are all come from thinking about yourself and getting in your own way. Self-protection is one of the biggest things that limits us. Mastering the part of your mind that's always threatened, always comparing, never satisfied.

I mean, he's a good player too. Definitely. Yeah, my life changed a lot since January 12th when AJ Brown was first filmed with the book. Was that last year? This year. Did he did you guys talk

about it? Like how did he get a hold of the book or who told him about the book? How did that even happen?

So he got the book from Morrow with Jomo, his teammate, and his teammate went to the University of Texas, and he got it from DJ J. Retelli, was the athletes in action rep at Texas.

So DJ is a friend of mine. I met him, 2003. And so about a year and a half later is when AJ Brown got the book.

And so it worked out amazing.

When I saw him with a book, I found out for the first time just like everyone else.

One thing I found out was that he was bringing it to every game and reading it after every drive.

I had no idea.

What was really interesting was he said when he was young, he was labeled a coward. And, you know, his job now is obviously you've got to be pretty fearless to go over across the middle in the NFL. Kind of like being a race car driver. The parts of the book that he really liked in the first chapter, just really about getting centered and having a clear mind and unburdened heart. I always dreamed I was destined for something great. And thinking about this interview with you,
