about an hour west of Kansas City, the state capital of Topeka. My background grew up in construction.

Carpenter went to law school for some reason that probably we can't get into on this podcast,

but it was a bet from my old man and he won. So I went. Was a commercial attorney, real estate and

contract law for three years. And I am back in construction now in a management capacity at a company, a general contractor

and an industrial millwright contractor in Topeka.

So it was, it was, my old man always gave me the best advice and wanted the best for me. And it,

it's really changed my life. It was very, very good. All right. So you entered into the world of

commercial real estate as a lawyer. And you probably saw a lot of investments. Did that entice you

to go on the other side and get on the investment side of things?

Very, very much so. In that commercial, the private legal practice, I ran into so many things.

I think I mentioned this. It was all a contract and real estate related. So many transactional things,

a lot of litigation too, but so many transactional things that kind of blew my mind.
