Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast.

We are your host, Kristen Walker Smith and Kelly Black.

Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive in to Moses chapter 4, verse 1.

0:15.0

Years ago, I was sitting in a Sunday school class where we talked about the pre-mortal world,

0:20.0

and one class member raised their hand

0:21.4

and they said, you know, I sometimes wonder if maybe Satan just really loved all his brothers and

0:26.7

sisters and he wanted them to make it back to God. Now, at the time, I just felt like that statement was

0:32.0

wrong, but I wasn't sure how to prove it. As it turned out, Moses 4 chapter 1 1, proved it for me. In this verse, the Lord

0:39.1

explained to Moses that in the premortal world, that is a hard thing to say, pre-mortal world,

0:44.4

Satan presented an alternative when the father presented his plan of happiness. As we read

0:49.9

the words of Satan's proposed alternative, I want you to listen for how many times he says the words

0:54.6

I and me. Okay, here we go. Behold, here am I, send me. I will be thy son and I will redeem all mankind,

1:03.2

that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it. Wherefore give me thine honor.

1:08.8

How many times did you count Satan saying I and me? I counted six.

1:13.5

Those six times make it clear who matters most to Satan himself. Satan refused to be the

1:19.7

savior of a world full of people who would sin, all of which he would have to pay for. No,

1:24.3

he wanted all the glory without any of the sacrifices. For Satan, it has always

1:30.2

been and always will be about one person, him. So the takeaway of the day and five words or less is,

1:36.6

Jesus was a suffering savior. Thanks so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ

1:42.4

with me one minute at a time.
