Smith and Callie Black. Hello and welcome to Big Picture Monday. My name is Callie Black here

0:12.4

with all the context you need to totally rock this week's Come Follow Me readings. This week is

0:17.1

January 19th through the 25th and we we are studying Genesis chapters 3 and 4, as well as Moses

0:25.7

chapters 4 and 5. We are going from one big pillar event last week with the creation to another

0:35.5

big pillar event this week with the fall. This week is all

0:39.7

focused on the fall and the events immediately afterward. So last week we left off with Adam and

2:09.4

the Genesis account this week, if you only had chapters three and four of Genesis,

2:14.3

it would kind of seem like God is giving extreme punishment to Cain just for making the wrong

2:24.6

offering. He makes an offering of fruit. And it just seems like, whoa, God is being a little harsh here

2:33.5

and what's going on here.

2:36.0

But then you read Moses' account and you see tons more context.

2:43.5

We learned that Kane had already turned his heart over to Satan and that the offering of
