Romans chapter 9, starting in verse 31.

It says in Romans 931, but Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness,

hath not attained unto the law of righteousness.

Because they sought it not by faith,

but as it were, by the works of the law.

been hammering home. And so he sort of reiterates what he's been talking about when he says,

so Israel, they weren't made righteous by keeping the law. But there was a stumbling block.

I think it's good for a Christian to be versed in this rock that's a stumbling block or a stumbling stone.

A rock of a fence, as it's called here in verse 33.
