We're continuing our through the Bible study, verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Because I missed Wednesday night, I'd like to try to keep a certain pace. And so I'm going to do something a little different.

I'm going to teach this morning, as I would normally on a Wednesday night. We're going to cover

chapter nine of Romans. The reason I want to do that is because we've dabbled in

Romans 9 now for several weeks, if you've noticed. You'll recognize some of these verses,

Brett, you already covered that. Well, I feel like I need to tie up the loose ends of chapter 9,

and then on Wednesday night, we'll dive right into chapter 10 and be postured, ready to roll for that. So,

are you guys up for a little Wednesday night on a Sunday morning? Nice. Okay, good. Well, Romans

chapter 9. A man was about to be married. He was really nervous, this young man, because

he hadn't really told his fiance one of his deepest, darkest secrets.

And that is that he had some kind of physical condition where his feet stank really bad.

He's like, oh, I don't know what I'm going to do. So he went to talk to his dad and dad said,

son, no problem. Here's what you do. You know, before you go to bed at night, just go and,

you know, wash your feet, powder and put on your socks, whatever you do, don you go to bed at night, just go and, you know, wash your feet, powder,

and put on your socks, whatever you do, don't take off your socks, but leave them on.

And when you go to bed with your socks on, she'll never know the difference.

And he's like, great, cool.

Well, the funny thing is, the girl, she also had a secret that she hadn't told him. And that is that every morning she woke up with deadly, horrible, bad breath. And she was horrified. She said, Mom, what am I going to do? She said, no problem, honey. Just get up before he gets up. Every morning, get up a little early, brush your tooth, you know, and swish some listerine and gargle, you know, and then go back to bed.

And then just as you wake up and say, good morning, honey, and it'll be all great.

She said, oh, good idea.

So they get into their marriage and marital bliss, the honeymoon was wonderful.
