the scripture for the morning mindset. Before we get started today, I wanted to make you

All right, we are in 1st Peter, chapter 3, just wrapping up chapter 3 actually, and right here at the

tail end of what Peter has to say in this section is a whole lot of interesting stuff, stuff that some might say is controversial, some might say is hard to explain,

and I'm not going to deny there are some tricky things in here.

So let's just look right into it. This is

verse number 18 of 1st Peter chapter 3. It says, for Christ also suffered once

for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God being put to death

in the flesh but made alive in the spirit. Let's pause there make sure we

understand what he's talking about. He says contextually that

we are going to suffer as followers of Christ and he says for Christ also
