Hello everybody had a great weekend. I'm a great weekend. I know I did mine was a little hectic a lot of travel a few months ago a couple months ago rather a couple months ago I should say I was I was kind of not kind of I was bitten by the bug of gravel racing get a lot of questions about what is gravel race and you know it's not a road race it's not a mountain bike race and it's doesn't it's not on a road bike, although I suppose you could.

And it's not on a mountain bike, although I suppose you could do that too.

It's sort of a hybrid of the two.

And so I did a race out here in Georgia on Saturday called Southern Cross, which was unbelievable,

I can't even tell you you or I can't begin to tell you how fun it is.

I roped in Hincapie and Vanderveld and a few others and I mean the smiles on these guys faces everybody's faces was just such an

epic course a big shout out and a big thank you to Lisa and her husband for having us out.

And thanks to everybody, all the other racers

and all the people there, friends and family, spectators

for their warm hospitality.

Totally appreciate it.

Got another one coming up next weekend in Northern California in Boonville,

the Fish Rock.

Even harder, longer, more climbing.

But I came out to Georgia also to interview my guest today,

Jesse Itzler. And Jesse is a colorful guy you'll hear when we do

the interview but a big thank you to Jesse for taking myself and my son and a buddy of his Max to the Hawks and the calves game

an interesting game a game in which the Cleveland Cavaliers broke the all-time record,

NBA record for free throws. I think they had 25 free throws. At one point, it seemed like they were up by a million.
