So grateful to have you here. If you're new to the podcast, that's what I do. I read scripture in order. Right now we're going through the book of Jeremiah. And then I pray for you according to what I've read. And I've found that doing so helps your prayer life. It also helps mine because the more I pray, the better I get at it. if there's such a thing is better.

Okay, today I'm in Jeremiah, chapter 9 versus 13 through 26 in the World English Bible.

This is what it says.

Yahweh says, because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in my ways,

but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart and after the bales, which their fathers taught them.

Therefore, Yahweh of armies, the God of Israel, says,

Behold, I will feed them, even this people with wormwood, and give them poisoned water to drink.

I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known.

I will send them sword. I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.

Yahweh of army says, consider and call for the mourning women that they may come.

Send for the skillful women that they may come. Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us

that our eyes may run down with tears
