Hey everyone, it's Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I have the joy and privilege

of praying you through the Bible verse by verse. So grateful to have you here again today. And I'm going to

continue this month in sharing some of the words of you, my audience, and they've been so encouraging.

So this one comes from Stella. Thank you, Mary. I do enjoy your podcast, but it is more than like. I started praying again about two years ago. You have taught me through examples how to pray. For example, my husband and I have had a constant 43-year-long tension-filled problem. I prayed to God for clarity not to stop it. I received that clarity

recently. It was an extremely emotional clarification. I know that through continued prayer,

the clarity will guide me into being a more loving wife. Thank you, Mary, good works, fondly and

gratefully, Becky. And so actually I said her name was Stella but that was

part of her email address so Becky thank you so much for reaching out to me and letting me know

what a great thing to know that prayer as we resume it sometimes we've had times in our lives where

we walk away from it but as we we resume it, we see God hearing

us, listening to us, and answering those prayers. So thank you for sharing that. Okay, today we're

in Jeremiah chapter 9, verses 1 through 12 in the world English Bible, and this is what it says.

Oh, that my head were waters and my eyes a spring of tears that I might weep day and night,

for the slain of the daughter of my people. Oh, that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men that I might leave my people and go from them. For they are all adulterers and assembly of treacherous men. They bend their tongue as their bow,

as their bow for falsehood. They have grown strong in the land, but not for truth. For they proceed from evil to evil and they don't know me, says Yahweh.

Everyone beware of his neighbor and don't trust in any brother, for every brother will ultimately utterly supplant and every neighbor will go around like a slanderer.

Friends deceive each other and will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves committing iniquity. Your habitation is in the middle

of deceit. Through deceit they refuse to know me, says Yahweh. Therefore, Yahweh of army says,

behold, I will melt them and test them. For how should I deal with a daughter of my people?

Their tongue is a deadly arrow. speaks deceit one speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth but in his heart he waits to ambush him

shouldn't i punish them for these things says yahway shouldn't my soul be avenged on a nation such as this

i will weep and wait for the mountains and lament for the pastures of the wilderness because
