Hey everyone, this is Mary DeMeuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I joyfully pray you through the Bible verse by verse so grateful for you.

And as I mentioned earlier, I am going to be continuing doing this ministry as God gives me strength and voice and vitality and all those things.

I've been reading some of these things that folks have written to me this month as a point of encouragement for you as well.

Kala writes this. I want to thank you for pray every day. I can't tell you what a gift has been to me

in this season. I'll spare you the long, sad details, but I lost a friend in a very hurtful and

unnecessary way. I had to walk away from the friendship because it got extremely hurtful,

unhealthly, and unbiblical. My mother-in-law introduced me to pray every day. I listen every single

day. Each morning I wake up at 5 a.m. to come to my secret place with the Lord. I read scripture,

I worship, I pray, and I listen to pray every day. Today you mentioned you are praying and discerning whether you should keep going or not. I found you in a season I was barely hanging on and pray every day was something I look forward to every day. I felt as though I was sitting next to a friend. There may be others like me who are in that season of barely hanging on and sitting with you could change everything. I understand if you need a break,

but I wanted to encourage you in what pray every day has meant to me. I listen. I look forward to it

every day. Thank you for reading to us and praying with us so faithfully. Calla, thank you so much

for writing that. I really appreciate it. Super encouraging to me, and I know to the listeners as well. All right, today I'm

reading from Jeremiah chapter 7 verses 1 through 17 in the world English Bible and this is what

it says. The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh saying stand in the gate of Yahweh's house

and proclaim this word there and say, hear Yahweh's word, all you of Judah, who enter

in at these gates to worship Yahweh.

Yahweh of armies, the God of Israel, says, amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause

you to dwell in this place.

Don't trust in lying words saying, Yahweh's temple, Yahweh's temple, Yahweh's temple are these. For if you thoroughly

amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor,

if you don't oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don't shed innocent blood in

this place, and don't walk after other gods to your own hurt. Then I will cause you to dwell in this
