Yes, indeed, from what feels like the surface of the hot ice planet, aka New York City.

This is a very special Monday afternoon edition of TBTL. The show that's probably too beautiful and today certainly too frozen to live.

I'm your host, Luke Burbank. This is episode 470, I think. 470 in a collector series. It's an episode that I thought was going to actually come your way from Seattle, Washington.

But yesterday, Sunday, when I went to the Continental Airlines website to print out my boarding pass, they told me that I could not do that because my flight was in fact more than 24 hours away, meaning my flight was actually today. So what a fun surprise. I got to spend a little extra time in New York City.

And as much fun as I've been having here, I am just actually thrilled and as tickled as could be to be heading back to Seattle this afternoon because I got to tell you, there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed and hanging out with your own cat, Pagoda, and doing the show from your own office as we call it Burbank Studios.

So anyway, that will start up tomorrow. We have another slightly abbreviated version of the show today. But starting tomorrow, and then for the foreseeable future, we'll be back at full capacity. That means the webcast, going on again. That means Sean and Jen. That means awesome, not awesome. That means the whole bit.

It is so cold, so very cold in New York City right now. I mean, and I am, I think of myself as a very hardy, hardy lad when it comes to the cold.

I don't do that well in the heat, but I kick butt in the cold. Maybe it's my natural subcutaneous layer of blubber. Maybe it's, you know, that my, my coccozoid people hail from a cold climate. And so it feels very comfortable to me.

Whatever it is, I usually am pretty impervious to the cold, but the last couple of days here in New York City have been like your face freezes.

You start crying, and snot starts ejecting from every orifice, and then freezing to your face, kind of cold.

Right now, as we speak, I am wearing this hat that I bought the other day on the street for $8. I'm calling it my spies like us hat.

Because I feel like I look like the movie poster for that major. I believe it was a major financial failure.

A Chevy Chase and Dan Ackroyd films spies like us. Maybe it wasn't. I don't know. Someone will look it up and email me, but I never even saw spies like us.

I just know that there's some scenes where they're walking around in the snow for days on end or something. And I bought a hat that would fit right in on the movie spies like us.

I actually took a picture of it. I'm going to put it up at tbtl.net. It's a giant fur thing with ear flaps and plaid on the side. I guess really it might be hound's tooth on the side.

But it is so cold that even here in my hotel room at the Hudson Hotel, in Columbus Circle neighborhood of New York City, even in my hotel room with the heat pumping.

It is so cold that I have to wear my spies like us hat. So just bear with me as I shiver my way through this here Monday afternoon edition of the show.
