In Florida, a man was arrested in connection to the stabbing death of an elderly woman.

In Ohio, police responded to a home after receiving reports of an unresponsive person

and later learned that the victim had been shot to death.

And in Wisconsin, police responded to a reported shooting at a home in Milwaukee.

The suspect later showed up at the police department and allegedly admitted to the shooting.

On Monday, January 20th, deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office responded

to the Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Florida, for a reported stabbing.

Once deputies arrived at the hospital, they learned that 77-year-old Lucy Reed was an emergency

surgery after her husband rushed her to the hospital.

And during that time, deputies went and spoke with Lucy's husband to try to figure out what

happened to her. Now, according to the husband, a short time earlier, both he and Lucy were

sitting in their living room watching television when a man, later identified as 31-year-old

Toby White, walked into their home and began attacking Lucy with a knife.

Her husband told deputies that Toby used a butcher knife to stab Lucy multiple times in the head and neck.

After the attack, the husband asked Toby why he had done that, to which Toby allegedly replied, quote,

God told me to.

Toby then left the home as Lucy's husband worked to get her to the hospital for emergency

treatment.
