In California, a young teenager was found stabbed outside of a home after a witness heard her screaming for help. In New York, a man

was arrested in connection to the stabbing death of his mother. And in Ohio, a corrections officer

was brutally attacked by an inmate on Christmas Day. All of this coming to chew right now.

Here, on Sword and scale daily on the

on friday on february december 20th at around 10 p.m. officers with the

Azusa police department in southern California responded to a home on the 300 block of North Saltono Avenue for a reported assault.

When responding officers arrived on the scene, they found a young teenager suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Paramedics responded, and they were able to transport the victim to the hospital.

Tragically, however, the teenager succumbed

to their injuries. The victim was later identified as 17-year-old Angelina Gonzalez. When homicide

investigators arrived on the scene, they spoke with one witness who had only captured the

aftermath of the attack. The witness stated they were only made aware of the attack when they

heard Angelina screaming.

When they went outside, they saw Angelina on the ground and the suspect fling the scene.

The witness later spoke with the media and stated, quote,

He ran out with no shirt on, got in his car, backed it up, and almost hit the car behind him.
