Hello and welcome to Storytime for grownups.

I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

Each episode, I'll read one chapter from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes.

So brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair,

and settle in. It's story time. Okay, so I don't know about you, but I am starting to get kind of sad, that the book is almost over.

Legitimately sad.

Like, I've been walking around feeling like, oh, no, the book is is almost over because including today's chapter,

which is chapter 36, there are three chapters left, 36, 37, and 38. And that's it, which

means that if you are listening in real time, we are one week away from the end of the book.

And obviously, I want to get to the end and I want to know what happens. I mean, I know what

happens, but I want you guys to know what happens and I want to hear your reactions to the end of

the book. And so I don't want to stop here. But I also, this has been such an amazing journey,

this book. And yes, there will be more books to come, I promise. But this book has been such a delight, and this

whole experience has been such a delight. And I'm starting to feel really sad that this book

is coming to a close. So one thing I want to do before we get into the main part of the episode

is to talk just a tiny bit right now about what's going to happen once we reach the last chapter.

So I'm going to do that in just a second.
