Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Today we are in Cracove, Poland, we are in the

are in the parish that contains the remains of

venerable Jan Tironowski, the spiritual mentor of St. John Paul the second.

So Jan was born in 1900 and grew up in the suburbs of Kraku, Debnicki.

His father wanted him to be an accountant for which Jan obtained a degree and began working professionally. But by 1930 the

stress of the position led to serious and chronic stomach problems that were

so debilitating, that Jan left accounting and began to work in the

family business as a tailor. See,, was extremely introverted.

He loved being hidden and alone, and it worked really well for him to create or men's suits

in the solitude of the backroom of the family tailor shop.

Then came the moment that changed his life.

In 1935, Jan heard a sermon in which the priest said,

it is not difficult to be a saint.

And Jan took this as truth, and he committed himself to meditate on the word of God each day in the

rosary, and to receive Jesus as often as he could in the eucharist and he committed

himself to study and learn the Catholic faith and then he created a strategy based on these three things

to reach his goal of intimacy with Jesus. But if we want to reach the goal of our life transforming

union with Jesus, then we each need a strategy, a plan, a recipe of life, so that every day we make sure we have the right ingredients of prayer, of work, of the sacraments, of

taking care of ourselves physically,

but of also growing in the knowledge of truth
