Welcome to our daily Rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Today we are so blessed to be at the convent of Saint Faustina, the shrine of divine mercy just outside of

Krakuv. Now Jesus gave St Faustina the mission of telling the whole world

about his infinite goodness and to encourage everyone to trust in his mercy

before the day of justice arrives. Now the day of justice doesn't necessarily mean the end of the world.

It could mean the end of the world. We don't know when that will come. Jesus told us to be ready

it all the time. It could also mean simply the end of this era, the end of this age. But it certainly means the day

of justice known as our particular judgment which we will all experience at the moment of our death.

Jesus said to Faustina, I am sending you with my mercy to the people of the whole world.

I do not want to punish aching mankind because I desire to heal it pressing it to my merciful heart.

So before the day of justice, I am sending the day of mercy.

Now to accomplish this mission that Jesus gave to Faustina,

he commanded her to keep the diary,

to keep a record of all of their conversations,

and he called her his secretary of mercy.

But at one point she was convinced that she was being deceived by the devil so she threw it in the fireplace.

And then Jesus made her rewrite and then he would go over it. Could you imagine? And he would say to her, you

have not written everything in the notebook about my goodness toward humankind.

I want you to omit nothing. And it is very beautiful to read the whole diary so that you too can be drawn into the intimate friendship with

Jesus like Faustina. Now three years running, Theresa and I used little snippets of the diary for our Rosary

before we started recording.
