It's Valentine's Day 2005, and Jawed Karim, Chad Hurley and Stephen Chen have just registered a website called YouTube.com.

Two months later, they'll upload their very first video, which is Karim briefly describing the elephant enclosure at the San Diego Zoo.

Little did they know that 15 years later,

Jake Paul would announce that he's launching a news service

where you can pay him £20 a month for him to give you financial advice.

And I'm going to be covering that and more on this week's edition of the YouTube News podcast.

Guess who's back, back again, Benedict's back. Hello. And welcome once

again to the YouTube News podcast, your favorite weekly podcast. I'm your host, Benedict. As

previously mentioned, it's wonderful to be back with you. You might remember me from last week's

episode of the YouTube news podcast or even in fact the one before that. And it's been a busy week

here in the world of YouTube. Just kidding, it has been drier than the Sahara in terms of YouTube

news. And so how delighted was I when this morning, like Manor from Heaven, came along this

wild story about Jake Paul charging you 20 bucks a month for him to give you financial advice.

We'll be covering that on the show today, along with once again,

another installment of true YouTuber facts and, unfortunately, a numbers segment,

because I know you love it.

It's going to be a Blockbuster show in the sense that it will be very popular to begin with

and then go out of business and then be just a faded memory, much like Blockbuster

was.
