2016 as I possibly could as a result I now own over 600 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm

convinced it's the greatest year for music of all time but it's not enough me being convinced

This week, my guest is Jack Rook.

And we're going to talk about Law Holt's 2016 album, City.

In the city, I'll let you open the door.

But should this come to a close, someone decided. Law Holt is a singer who was born in the

scene through meeting bands like Young Fathers.

She guested on a lot of their songs and performed with them live quite a lot.

This is her debut album, Tim London, the Young Father's manager, made all the instrumentals

and would basically sit her down in a room. She would listen to the song. He would go away.

He'd come back an hour or two later and she'd have recorded her vocal track.

All the songs were recorded in a very short space of time.

Time is going to be. I love how it's basically a twisted pop record. It's taking what you know a diva to be and putting them in some sort of alternative universe. It's a very exciting album.

Also, this is probably our first musician on the podcast who isn't really that first about being a musician law halt works for the NHS she's a nurse when she was recording
