Araga-Honzi are a Japanese experimental traditional folk band.

I know I use the term experimental a lot on this podcast, but that's just the kind of music I like.

They take traditional folk music from Japan, and then they fuse it with acid jazz, reggae, indie and rock music, just anything that they can.

And they throw it at it and they make one big stew of influences and sounds from all over the world it's a very exciting album

I first heard the track, Deterami Kagura, saw a music video for it, couldn't stop watching it,

became obsessed with the album, I've been playing it to people ever since.
