This is CBSI on the world. I'm John Batchel. Two volcanoes. The first is Mount Aetna in eruption,

and I welcome Lorenzo Fiore, who helps me understand the politics of Italy, but also the phenomenon

of the volcanoes and the climate. Lorenzo, a very good evening to you. The two volcanoes, Mount Etna and then the Prime Minister.

We begin with Aetna.

It's an eruption, but it becomes a tourist attraction.

Is that also dangerous?

Well, you did say very well.

It's spectacular, but it's also an high risk.

Why an high risk?

It's an high risk because there are thousands of hikers

and some of them, even without any appropriate dress and shoes,

climbing the top of the volcano, to be as much as possible closest to the eruption.

And there are a lot of risk, of course, because the volcano normally is pretty unpredictable.

So what happened?

The authority decided to do something to avoid that might be the possibility that somebody could be injured or even die because of this phenomenon.

But over and above all, try to avoid that people without the proper dress and boots are climbing on the snow.

The eruption is really spectacular, simply because there is such a red and black

of the volcano coming out from the deep of the earth that is in contrast with the crystal white of a lot of snow that

fall on top of Aetna.

I would like to remind everybody that Aetna is a volcano with an height above sea level of 3,000

...
